Michelle is a writer at Linguaphile Magazine. She spent most of her childhood in Taiwan and was raised in a bilingual environment, developing an affinity for different languages from a young age. Michelle discovered her passion for linguistics through her language learning experiences with Russian and Norwegian.

After finding her passion for linguistics, she began exploring the diverse and rich linguistic landscape of Taiwan. Recently, she took an interest in the study of various Formosan Austronesian languages, with a particular interest in the Siraya language, which is currently classified as extinct. Siraya was spoken in what is now Tainan City, where she grew up.

When she first began studying linguistics, she found many existing resources to be intimidating. She is eager to contribute to making these topics more accessible while also using this opportunity to deepen her own knowledge.
