Anna Sulaiman is a writer at Linguaphile Magazine. Born in Singapore, she has lived her life mostly in multilingual environments. Dabbling in spoken language has hence always been a part of her life. She began studying foreign languages more formally from her teenage years, but truly fell in love with language learning after having a fully immersive experience living in Japan. She is very much a beginner in the field of linguistics, and started learning about it because of an ever-growing appreciation of how languages shape our world.
